What is Auto Enrolment?
Auto Enrolment made it mandatory for all employers to create a savings plan for their employees. Qualifying employees are:
- Aged between 22 and State Pension age
- Earn more than £10,000 a year
- Work in the UK
Once enrolled, employers must contribute at least 3% and employees must contribute a minimum of 5% each month that goes directly into a pension pot which cannot be accessed until retirement age. There is the option to “Opt Out” if an employee does not wish to contribute towards their pension, but to begin with everyone must be automatically enrolled.
If you do not comply with the rules, then you may be liable to penalties from The Pensions Regulator for non-compliance.

How do you manage my pension scheme?
1) Set up
We can set up your pension scheme with a pension scheme provider of your choice. We can then either hand it over to continue to manage it for you on a monthly basis.
2) Enrol and inform your employees
Along with enrolling existing employees, we will regularly check for any new eligible employees, and auto enrol them too.
3) Administering your pension scheme
We will make regular submissions to your pension provider, so they can collect the contributions from you directly.
How much will it cost to manage my pensions scheme?
Please note that auto enrolment services are an add-on service to our accountancy packages.
Our auto enrolment services include:
Pension Registration – fixed £200 to set up your scheme with your chosen provider.
Pension Compliance – fixed £70 to handle the declaration of compliance and mandatory correspondence.
Pension Management – starting from only £6 per month per employee. We charge a minimum fee of £30 + VAT per month for the first two employees and £6.00 + VAT per month for every additional employee after that.
